Ally offers her insights into transferrable skills, having a plan B & getting the most out of life in superyachting

Today’s podcast is with Ally Toulec who comes from a corporate background in marketing, runs her own business &  thrives on learning and being active.  Her passion for boats, drive for excellent service & the love of the outdoors makes this industry ideal for her.  Her goal is to get her Officer of the Watch certificate (OOW) with the aim of being a Chief Officer at some point.  She also enjoys being able to take the winter off to work on her other passion, the Riders film Festival & snowboarding in the French Alps.  The Riders film Festival is a charity event she founded 6 years ago the link to this is in the bio.

She is a keen advocate for mental health awareness and talks about the importance of walking away from toxic boats.  She also say’s its important to go through the right channels to raise awareness of issues that cause stress and toxic work environments.  Changing the mindset within the industry is as important as being able to manage it personally.
