Hi my name is Lynne,
I feel extremely fortunate to be able to live where I live, 5 minutes walk from the beach in the Algarve, Portugal, but this didn’t happen by chance. This was my dream, my end goal, and I’ve been working all my life to get here, and it is a big part of why I can do what I do now.
Over the years I moved my family around the world from Australia to Thailand, then Ghana, and the UK and now Portugal. Pre family I even worked in Saudi Arabia as a nurse. This was a lot of fun, but setting up a new life each time did mean I had to step outside my comfort zone. These experiences called on a lot of strength of character and need for self-development.
It also led me to study this field of mindset and personal growth because it really helps you get through the tough times when you need it. I’ve learned a lot about how the human mind can lift you out of anything, I know it works and it is a powerful tool.
I’m a big believer that if you want something, you have to follow that urge no matter what it takes. I think the world of superyachting is a fantastic vehicle to do that. It’s a great place for people who want to change up their lives and do something different to be able to do it.
This industry is unique, nothing comes close to the demands and expectations of people working on superyachts. To take on this job you need know that it will test you, and being able to thrive and sustain the lifestyle is not as easy at it seems.
